The Love Help App home screen, with activity stats and quick links to Discuss, Community, and Ask a Guru

Love, marketed today as The Love Help App, is a mobile relationship-advice community where members discuss real situations, browse topic boards, or pay for a private answer from a Love Guru. The team built and maintains both the React Native client and the Parse Server backend behind it, first launching the product in 2018 and reviving it in 2025 with native payments, modern sign-in, and a redesigned community experience.

Discuss

The Discuss tab is an open, real-time feed where members post short updates and reply to each other, with a like count on every message. It grew out of the public Forum the team shipped back in 2018, carried forward through the app's later redesigns. Browsing is free; posting requires an active subscription.

Community boards

The Community tab organizes peer conversation into topic boards covering different relationship situations, so members can find the kind of conversation they're looking for instead of scrolling one long feed. Each board carries its own moderation tools — reporting and liking replies — building on moderation the team added to the original forum back in 2018.

Subscription and in-app purchases

The Billing & Purchases screen is where a member buys Ask a Guru questions or subscribes for full community access, both sold as native iOS and Android in-app purchases since the team's 2025 payments overhaul replaced the app's original Stripe integration. Membership tiers were added earlier, in 2021, and admin-side content-filter moderation followed later, as part of the app's 2026 rebrand.

Account settings

The Account screen lets a member update their name, email, and photo, or log out. Privacy & Security covers password resets and the account's security question, and a member can also delete their account outright — a self-service flow the team added in 2026.
